Food Photography
A delicious dish is valuable not only because of its taste, but also because it can be visually pleasing. The proper presentation and display of food is key to amazing guests and making them want to taste the dish immediately.
Nowadays, gastronomy plays an increasingly important role, and the visual representation of food is becoming more and more important. Perhaps one of the most defining and spectacular forms of expression in the “image age” are the images of food and meals.
Capturing food is not only about expertise and experience, but also about understanding the nature of the dish, its flavors, and the mood that we want to convey in the images. When taking photos, I try to recreate the environment that the particular dish represents. The plate decoration and the placement of the underlay are also very important in creating the photo, as these elements can really highlight the characteristics and colors of the dish. If a delicious dish is presented nicely, even if we can’t smell or taste it, just by looking at it, we would want to taste it right away.
